Sarah Wilkinson

Director | Highbury Young Singers

Sarah founded Highbury Young Singers in 1996 with Scott Stroman.  She studied Music at King’s College London, Accompaniment at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and repetiteur work on the English National Opera short course. She is also a qualified music therapist and worked in this field for several years. Sarah has worked with children and young people throughout her career; directing Highbury Young Singers, teaching music and singing in schools to classes and larger groups and running holiday music and drama courses. She continues to perform and play, coaches opera singers, accompanies students at Islington Music Centre, Deansfield and Apollo Chamber Choirs and is Assistant Director of Eclectic Voices. She is also Vocal Director of Highbury Opera Theatre.

Hannah King

Director | Highbury Youth Choir

Originally from Lancashire, Hannah was a pupil at Chetham’s School of Music before going on to read music at Trinity College, Cambridge, where she held both choral and instrumental scholarships. She now works as a singer and conductor across London. As well as Highbury Youth Choirs, Hannah also works with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Westminster Cathedral and the Rosehill Theatre on their schools music provision. She also performs with some of the country’s leading choirs, including ORA, Tenebrae and the Gabrieli Consort, and is a member of the chapel choir at the Tower of London.
